What is Commendable?
A compliment app. Every commend is technically true, and you choose how much it stings, from 0 to 10.
How does the sting scale work?
Sincere (0 to 2) is kind and specific. Dry (3 to 5) praises something trivial. Backhanded (6 to 8) sounds surprised you managed it. Savage (9 to 10) reads as praise first and lands a few seconds later.
Who writes the commends?
Most commends are written and rated by hand. A small share started as machine drafts and were edited and rated by hand before they shipped. Nothing is generated on your phone.
Are any commends about how people look?
No. There are no commends about appearance, bodies, age, or protected traits, and no real names.
Can I put a name on a card?
No. Cards carry the commend, the sting dots, and the app name. Nothing else.
Is it a subscription?
No. Free, or one payment.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Every commend ships inside the app.
Why didn’t my widget update?
iOS decides when widgets refresh. Opening the app usually helps.
Is there an Android version?
It is planned after the iPhone version. There is no date yet.
Is it for kids?
Commendable is made for adults. See the App Store listing for the age rating.
